The second “Idol Gives Back” fundraising bash has gathered up A-list talent for a spectacular television event. This year’s event will air on Wednesday, April 9, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET. Last year “Idol Gives Back” generated $76 million for charity. The night’s line up includes Bono, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Fergie, Chris Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Annie Lennox, John Legend and Snoop Dogg. In related news, “Idol” winner Reuben Studdard will be performing the farewell song when contestants are eliminated from the top 12. The song is a new version of “Celebrate Me Home” by Kenny Loggins. “American Idol” airs on Tuesday and Wednesday nights Fox.
