Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt’s families want them to marry

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s families are eager for the pair to get married.

Last week, the internet was abuzz with rumors the pair had tied the knot, and when the news reached the Pitt family, they had their hopes up for the reports to be true: They weren’t.

“The whole family is still keeping their fingers crossed that someday they will tie the knot,” a source close to the family tells OK! magazine.

Pitt’s mom, Jane, has warmed twice-divorced Angelina, 32, to the idea of marrying Brad, but she subscribes to the mantra of “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.”

“Jane has a really hard time with them not being married,” the source says. “She feels that they need to be married for the kids.”

As for Brad, the actor “would love to marry her but doesn’t want to force her, and I’ve never seen Brad so happy.”

Brad Pitt Parts with Longtime Publicist

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

Actor Brad Pitt has ditched his longtime publicist and will deal with the media on his own–just like partner Angelina Jolie.

The Ocean’s 13 star is “taking a break” from longtime publicist Cindy Guagenti and is willing to represent himself to the world’s media.

The 44-year-old is following in the footsteps of Jolie, who prefers to use the press to her own advantage without the help of a representative, reports New York gossip column PageSix.

Guagenti says, “He is on hiatus.”

She has worked with the star since his breakthrough role in Ridley Scott’s Thelma and Louise in 1991.

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

George Clooney has laughed off reports he has been named godfather to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s unborn offspring.
The Michael Clayton star sparked rumors earlier this week , when he joked to paparazzi outside a Los Angeles restaurant that he had been asked by the Hollywood couple to take on the role.
But Clooney’s longtime representative Stan Rosenfield has been forced to publicly dismiss the reports, after some gossip websites reported the actor’s passing comments as fact.

The book, based on Grann’s September 2005 article in the New Yorker, will be published next February.
