Madame Tussaud’s staff learnt a valuable lesson recently - never let women get too close to even the wax statues of George Clooney or Brad Pitt.

The famous museum’s London wing had put the actors’ statues up for display to coincide with the DVD launch of their hit film Ocean’s Thirteen.

However, after only one day on display staff found out that it had been a mistake to put out the wax works when female fans mauled them.

While Pitt’s posterior was badly damaged from pinches, Clooney’s cheeks were left covered in lipstick.

A spokesman for the London attraction said that the frenzy showed just how popular the two Hollywood heavyweights were.

“To say they were popular with women is an understatement. Brad’s bum in particular was in a bad way,” The Sun reported him, as saying.

Angelina Jolie has pulled out of a UN talk in Italy, amid growing speculation that she is expecting her second child with Brad Pitt.

Jolie was scheduled to give a lecture at a conference at the Pio Manzu Centre, near Rimini, but pulled out at the last minute, citing “personal reasons.”

The Italian media has reported that the actress cancelled the trip because she is pregnant - a claim that a spokeswoman for the centre appeared to confirm, despite being under a gagging order.

Letizia Manjani tells the Mirror newspaper: “Angelina cancelled last week.

“Due to her privacy, I can’t confirm her pregnancy, but I can say that the Italian newspapers are correct in their reports.”

Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt have their own biological daughter, 16-month-old Shiloh, as well as their adopted children Maddox, six, Pax, three and Zahara, two.

Pitt recently expressed his desire to expand their family once again by saying, “We’re ready for another one.”

“Now I can take on anything that comes my way and find truth in it an do a pretty good job.”
